How much, by when, and what you need.

Read this once and registration takes about ten minutes.

Your exact fee is shown before you pay anything

The convocation fee depends on your programme and is read from your student record as soon as you enter your Student ID at step 2. You will see the fee, the SST and the total — and you can stop there. Nothing is charged until you choose a payment method at step 5.

How you can pay
  • Online banking (FPX)
  • Credit or debit card
  • Cash at the convocation counter
Registration closes
Fri 15 Jan

Cash is accepted at the counter only while the year's cash option is open.

What to have in front of you

  • Your Student ID

The ID on your student card

We look your fee up from it — nothing to calculate yourself.

  • An e-mail address you can open

Every step is confirmed by e-mail

Step 1 sends a 6-digit code there. If your university inbox is closed, use a personal address.

  • A graduation portrait

JPG or PNG, under 5 MB

Framing, background and lighting are in the photo guide. Not needed when the photo booth is on.

  • Your CV

    PDF, under 5 MB

Follow the CV format guide — a CV in another layout is the most common rejection.

Who can register

  • You have completed your programme at Lincoln University College and are awaiting or have received your result.
  • Your student account has no outstanding balance.
  • You register and pay before registration closes — late registration is not guaranteed a seat.

Guests

Two guest seats are included with every application. Extra seats can be bought while you register, or later from My convocation, while they last.

Dress

Academic dress over formal attire. Collect your robe on the day before the ceremony — it is not issued at the ceremony venue.

Invitation letter

Your invitation letter is generated the moment the Registrar gives final approval — there is no separate waiting period. Until then the download is locked, and My convocation shows you which department your application is sitting with. You will also get an e-mail with the letter attached when approval lands.

The things everyone asks.

If the answer is not here, the help desk is one button away.

Still stuck? Ask the help desk
How much does it cost, and when do I pay?

The fee depends on your programme and is read from your student record at step 2 of registration, before you commit to anything. You see the fee, the SST and the total, and you pay at step 5 by online banking (FPX), card, or cash at the counter where the year allows it.

Who can register?

Graduands who have completed their Lincoln University College programme and have no outstanding balance on their student account. Register before the closing date shown at the top of this page.

What do I need before I start?

Your Student ID, an e-mail address you can open, a graduation portrait and your CV. The portrait and CV each have a guide — read them first; a file in the wrong format is the most common reason an application is sent back.

How long does registration take?

About ten minutes if you have your portrait and CV ready. You can stop and come back: everything you have typed is saved against your e-mail address, and your uploads survive a failed payment, so you never upload twice.

When does my invitation letter become available?

Your invitation letter is generated the moment the Registrar gives final approval — there is no separate waiting period. Until then the download is locked, and My convocation shows you which department your application is sitting with. You will also get an e-mail with the letter attached when approval lands.

How many guests can I bring?

Two guest seats are included with every application. Extra seats can be bought while you register, or later from My convocation, while they last.

What should I wear?

Academic dress over formal attire. Collect your robe on the day before the ceremony — it is not issued at the ceremony venue.

I paid but my status still says awaiting payment.

Give it a few minutes — a bank payment is confirmed twice, once when you return from the bank and again by the bank's own notification, and the second one can lag. If it has not cleared within an hour, raise a ticket with your payment reference and we will trace it. You will not be charged twice.

My one-time code never arrived.

Check your spam folder first, then resend — the resend timer stops you asking faster than the mail can be delivered. If your university inbox is closed, raise a ticket from any address you can read — a personal one is fine. Confirm it once with a code, and every reply from the help desk is e-mailed to that address with a link straight back into the ticket.

Can I change my details after I have registered?

Open My convocation with your Student ID. If a department needs a correction it will open a conversation with you there; otherwise raise a ticket and the convocation office will amend it for you.

How you got here.

  1. A student walking towards the Lincoln University College campus at sunrise

    The early mornings

Every early morning you did not want to face.
  2. A student working against a deadline

    The deadlines

Every deadline you beat with minutes to spare.
  3. A student studying alone in the library late at night

    The late nights

Every night the library closed before you did.
  4. Lincoln University College graduands throwing their caps in the air on convocation day

    The ceremony

And every one of them led here.

Tell us, and a real person answers.

Confirm your e-mail address once with a 6-digit code and your tickets are here whenever you come back — nothing to write down, nothing to lose. We e-mail you the moment the desk replies, and that e-mail opens the ticket for you.
